I have found my home away from home in Amsterdam, or actually it was a colleague of mine who discovered it. More specific at The Hoxton located at the canals on Herengracht. Even though it has more than 100 rooms, you'll get the feeling of a "boutique Hotel"
I prefer the "cosy room", which has a great size for one or two persons.. In the rooms you get the feeling of being home, and that's an important thing for me when travelling, and also one of the reasons why I keep coming back to this hotel when I'm in Amsterdam. In the room, you're able to make yourself a cup of coffee or tea, but one thing I miss is a decent minibar with softdrinks, beer and wine. If you want anything to drink, you're able to buy it in the reception for supermarket prices, so it's not a complete disaster, but in my opinion, a hotel like this should of course have a minibar.
The bar and restaurant is driven by Soho House, and if you want to spend the evening only at the hotel instead of exploring Amsterdam, the food is good, and there's always a good vibe in the bar, no matter if it's a Monday or a Friday.
In general, I can highly recommend this hotel in Amsterdam. You can also find The Hoxton in London, and soon New York & Paris, which I'm looking forward to. I will for sure consider it, especially in Paris.
The price is affordable. It's not the cheapest, but you'll get good value for money.
