Sir Albert is one of my favourite's to stay when in Amsterdam. It's a boutique hotel, where you'll feel welcome from the moment you enter the door. You're offered a glass of bubbles when checking in, while the piccolo carries your bags to the room. Already from this moment you feel like a valued guest.
Next to the reception you'll find a very cosy loungearea with a fireplace, bookshelves and vintage furniture. You get the feeling of being at home or in a cabin in the woods, and it's great sitting here with a glass of wine after a pulsing day in Amsterdam.
The rooms are very well decorated and designed, so even though some of them are small, you have plenty of space. The rooms are made in dark and warm materials, which makes them nice to stay in.
For dining in Amsterdam, the Izakaya restaurant is a great option. You can sit in the bar and enjoy a drink or a glass of wine, when having some small tasters. There's a good vibe in the evenings, and I recommend to book a table.
Sir Albert is very affordable, and you'll get value for money. You can find the "Sir Boutique" room starting from 140€.
The SIR Hotels are also located in Berlin and Hamburg.
