I've just been to Tokyo for the first time, which was a great experience overall. The mentality of the Japanese people are something that everyone could learn of. We stayed at Conrad which is a part of the Hilton group, that in my optic is not very known for the luxury. But Conrad is, and actual quite affordable compared to other hotels in the same category in Tokyo. The rate we got at www.booking.com was approximately €300 per night.
You find the bar and restaurant on the high level, with a great view over the river. A nice place to relax with a glass of wine is in front of the bio fireplace with an amazing view. The rooms are as they should be at a 5* hotel. Equiped with a very comfortable king size bed, a minibar with all you need, separated bathtub and shower, tv with all needed channels. And of course the toilet with a heated seat and a lot of interesting buttons to push.
When you walk out of the hotel, you have the metro system, so it's very easy with public transportation direct from the hotel. And the Tokyo metro is huge and works outstanding. It brings you to new parts of the city in a short time. I can recommend to buy a day pass that costs less than 10 Euro.
I can recommend Conrad for your stay in Tokyo, and if you're a member of Hilton Honors, you will collect points during your stay.
